Christmas!...Christmas!......Christmas!...

I noticed as I drove to the post office that the Christmas snowflake lights that adorned the lamp posts down Main Street were coming down. Sad, in a way. I loved driving through town with Sierra at Christmas time.

There is nothing like the excitement of a 4 year old riding around town spotting houses lit bright with Christmas lights. No “oooos” or “aahhhhs”, just “CHRISTMAS!” Although this small town may never match the brilliance of the big cities, our lights are genuine and just as impressive, especially for little ones. One particular house went crazy fun with chasing lights, blinking arches, flying reindeer, balloon figures, and a digital scene of Santa wandering pass the front windows. The house was flashing to music that unfortunately was not working over the radio but you can tell Mannheim Steamroller was the inspiration. I commend those people who in this struggling economical time took the time and money to decorate their yards for “Christmas” and say “ba humbug” to the electric bill. Sierra will always be impressed.
